About the Position

As a hospitality trainee, you will be working on a full-time basis and reporting to the venue manager. This position is an excellent chance to complete your Certificate 3 in Hospitality, which will be paid for and supported by the employer.

Requirements
  • You must be available to work evenings and weekends, as this is essential for the role.
  • You should be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
  • You should have extensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, as well as being comfortable and confident in food service and functions from casual through to high-end dining.
  • You should also have knowledge of relevant work health and safety legislation and be competent and trustworthy with cash-handling skills.
Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for preparing, serving, and selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, coffees, lattes, and other drinks.
  • You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining bar areas, washing, cleaning, and arranging glasses, plates, and bottles.
  • Additionally, you will advise and serve customers' food, collect payments from customers, cook, prepare, and serve hot meals in kitchens, monitor quality control, explain and enforce hygiene rules, and plan and assist with the ordering of supplies and menu items.
