Job Overview

The Hardware Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management of day-to-day operations across data centres, ensuring optimal equipment performance and high-quality customer service.

  • Supervise hardware activities including installations, removals, moves, changes, and decommissions of IT, Security, and Networking equipment.
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve equipment performance, data centre environments, and procedural compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, site diagrams, and reports while supporting problem/change identification and resolution.
  • Collaborate with support teams and skill groups to ensure seamless delivery of hardware coordination activities.
  • Provide business and non-business hours support through shared on-call arrangements.
  • Recommend and implement efficiency improvements to processes, procedures, and service delivery.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Experience with networking hardware and cabling standards.
  • Experience within data centre facilities and environmental monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and participate in on-call rotations.
Critical Experience Requirements
  • Proven track record managing hardware and infrastructure within data centre environments.
  • Experience liaising across multiple teams and managing service delivery standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance, procedural accuracy, and operational efficiency.
