
Hardware Operations Specialist

The Hardware Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management of day-to-day operations across data centres, ensuring optimal equipment performance and high-quality customer service.
- Supervise hardware activities including installations, removals, moves, changes, and decommissions of IT, Security, and Networking equipment.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve equipment performance, data centre environments, and procedural compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, site diagrams, and reports while supporting problem/change identification and resolution.
- Collaborate with support teams and skill groups to ensure seamless delivery of hardware coordination activities.
- Provide business and non-business hours support through shared on-call arrangements.
- Recommend and implement efficiency improvements to processes, procedures, and service delivery.
- Hands-on experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with networking hardware and cabling standards.
- Experience within data centre facilities and environmental monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and Word.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and participate in on-call rotations.
- Proven track record managing hardware and infrastructure within data centre environments.
- Experience liaising across multiple teams and managing service delivery standards.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance, procedural accuracy, and operational efficiency.
