About the Role

Fuse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Civil team working across a variety of marine projects across Australia.

The successful candidate will oversee and deliver projects in a safe, environmentally-conscious, and socially-responsible manner. They will manage projects to meet or exceed quality standards, adhere to timelines, and stay within or under budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Proactively adopt and implement the company's Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) standards and procedures. Contribute to achieving zero harm by reporting and resolving hazards, near misses, illnesses, and injuries promptly.
  • Contract Management: Coordinate the implementation, execution, and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, project timings, health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Subcontractor Management: Tender, engage, and manage all project subcontractors and suppliers in alignment with contract requirements, project timings, and budget constraints.
  • Project Reporting: Provide detailed project reporting in accordance with contract requirements. Ensure all costs are captured, tracked, reconciled, and report to Directors on a monthly basis.
  • Financial Management: Complete all progress payments, variation claims, extension of time claims, purchase orders, and tax invoices as per contract terms and conditions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records, systems, and processes, including templates, master registers, and project management software.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts from inception through completion, ensuring correspondence is prepared and issued per contract management procedures.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about relevant legislation and industry developments related to health, safety, environment, and quality.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with management staff, employees, contractors, and the public as required, maintaining a constructive team environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Recognised Qualifications / Certificate / Training in Project Management
  • Experience: Experience and/or training with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS)
  • Certifications: Recognised Certificate / Training in Workplace Health and Safety (desirable)
  • Skills: Thorough understanding of project programming and implementation
