Overview of the Role

The Assistant Director, Psychosocial Regulation, will lead Comcare's proactive regulation of psychosocial risk and coordinate the successful delivery of regulatory activities by a small team of psychosocial inspectors nationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage proactive programs of work focused on psychosocial risk for the Comcare jurisdiction, including the identification and implementation of continuous improvement.
  • Plan, allocate, and manage the timely and high-quality delivery of relevant psychosocial risk regulation team workload requirements.
  • Work closely with Regional Directors and their teams as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and the inspectorate in terms of more complex aspects of their work and contributions to Comcare's organisational goals.
  • Build and sustain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain the capability and outputs in a team environment through coaching others, providing timely and constructive performance feedback, conflict resolution, and encouraging career development.

Mandatory Qualifications/Experience

  • Demonstrated qualifications and experience within a regulatory, compliance, law enforcement, and/or mental health environment.

Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
