Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.
  • Cost Optimisation: Analyze market trends and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve significant cost reductions.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain to ensure continuity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and ensure seamless integration of new suppliers.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract development and management to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in procurement processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the category.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years focused on direct procurement.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Software: Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Skilled in Microsoft D365 would be highly advantageous.
