Job Description:

The primary function of this role is to provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. This will involve utilising technical expertise and our cutting-edge data storage portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challenges
  • Conveying the advantages of our storage solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and discussions
  • Designing and architecting on-premise or hybrid storage systems (knowledge of NAS, SAN, and Object Storage is required)
  • Developing storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications, also in the context of Cloud Services
  • Providing deep insights into Storage and Data Management vendor ecosystems, and having prior experience with backup solutions
  • Creating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offerings
  • Collaborating with client executives and partner sales to create strategies for developing customer opportunities related to storage solutions
  • Advising on engagement and utilization of broader ranges of technical resources
  • Offering and applying technical expertise on our storage product and solutions

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience and expertise in technical specifications on storage product and services
  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory and NV1 or higher security clearance is preferred
  • Prior experience working in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering on storage technologies
  • Operating as a Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) and having the ability to influence Sales teams, driving initiatives and acting as a Decision-maker on Projects
  • Experience or working knowledge with the products of EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware, or PureStorage
  • Prior knowledge in Cloud, Storage, AI/ML, Database, Microservice, Enterprise Application, or DevOps is advantageous
  • Interested in or possess relevant knowledge of Docker/Container & Kubernetes (K8S) platforms
  • Interested in or possess relevant knowledge of hybrid multi-cloud technologies, AI Platform
