About the Role

We are seeking an experienced APS6 officer to join our Immigration and Legal Groups team at the Department of Home Affairs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing or leading a team, assessment and decision making, writing policy or providing policy advice, managing programs or contracts, and other enabling and supporting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage or lead a team to achieve business outcomes
  • Assess and make decisions on complex issues
  • Develop and implement policies or provide policy advice
  • Manage programs or contracts to achieve business objectives
  • Perform other enabling and supporting functions as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and display good judgement and attention to detail. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with others to achieve business outcomes.
