About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sweeper Operator to join our Assets and Engineering Team at East Gippsland Shire Council. As a Sweeper Operator, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining Council's kerb and channel, footpath, road, and drainage network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain Council's kerb and channel, footpath, road, and drainage network.
  • Schedule works to keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Perform general labouring tasks.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated relevant industry experience.
  • Experience operating road suction sweepers highly desirable.
  • Experience with relevant tools and equipment essential.
  • Well-established ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • To be physically able to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and at various locations as required.
  • A current, valid Victorian driver's license. MR Truck as a minimum.
