Multi-skilled Cleansing Team Member

This role offers an opportunity to become an integral part of a local council's cleansing team in West Footscray. The position involves operating cleansing equipment, responding to service requests, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in public areas. You will be working in an active, outdoor environment and should be prepared for early starts and physical work.

**Benefits**:

- 2-month assignment with the potential to extend
- Competitive hourly rate: $33.18 per hour + super
- Early morning start at 5am
- Weekly pay

**About You**:

- Physically fit to run and lift full 120L bins
- Possess a current driver's licence and heavy truck licence
- Experienced in operating plant and machinery related to cleansing (street sweepers, etc.)
- Skilled in performing safety checks and maintenance on equipment
- Knowledgeable in Cleansing Maintenance activities and relevant industry standards
- Able to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills for interacting with the public and team members
- A police clearance certificate is required

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely and competently operate mechanical sweeping equipment and other cleansing machinery
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Respond to customer service requests and collect litter, including hazardous materials
- Complete required documentation and records associated with cleansing tasks
- Attend team meetings and participate in relevant training
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
- Participate in emergency call-outs as required
