Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in occupational therapy interested in working in the occupational rehabilitation sector.

This diverse role offers flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day while being supported by a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals.

  • Case management, including managing caseloads and administrative tasks;
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals;
  • Working across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third-party insurance, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes;
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments;
  • Reviewing diagnosis, supporting treatment plans, addressing psychosocial barriers to employment, and identifying suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy with registration with AHPRA;
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded;
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • A current NSW driver's license and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is required.
