Business Performance Analyst

The role of the Business Performance Analyst is to deliver high-quality client services by applying technical and client handling skills. This involves executing projects and assignments with a high degree of accuracy in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities include reviewing data submitted by dealers, assessing its plausibility, and recommending exclusions. The analyst must present recommended exclusions and reasons to the client for final decision-making. Additionally, they are responsible for assessing relevant dealer KPIs, proposing exclusions, and following up with excluded dealers during the close process.
- Responsibilities:
- Review all data submitted by dealers within 24 hours of submission, utilizing validation warnings generated by the Audit Rules process and general automotive accounting knowledge.
- Assess the overall plausibility of submitted figures and recommend the exclusion of results with severe warnings that could negatively impact integrity.
- Present recommended exclusions and reasons to the client for final decision-making on dealer exclusions.
- Assess the most relevant dealer KPIs by department to ensure outliers are explained or corrected.
- Propose recommended exclusions to the client before calculating averages and follow up with excluded dealers during the close process to help them correct their reports.
- Contact dealers with minor discrepancies (who were included in the averages) within one day of averages being available to discuss and improve future submission quality.
- Explain reasons for exclusion in detail to excluded dealers and provide support for improvement.
Requirements:

- Database: Demonstrate knowledge of relational database management, including creating and executing queries, creating scripts, importing/exporting data, and manipulating data; knowledge and experience with SQL are required.
- Math & Statistics: Possess knowledge of basic descriptive statistics and the ability to execute simple statistical analyses, create scatter plots, bar charts, and histograms; select and apply the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
- MS Office: Demonstrate knowledge of MS Excel for charting and graphing of data, writing formulas and utilizing functions, filtering, sorting, and formatting of data; possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Technical/Software: Must have demonstrated programming proficiency at the minimum requirement for the role.
- Time Management: Prioritize competing demands and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Sales & Business Development: Identify potential new opportunities from the client and proactively communicate those opportunities to management.
- University degree required; Finance (i.e. financial accounting, economics/business management, applied math, statistics) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent foreign institution. Non-technical degrees will be considered if candidate possesses appropriate level of analytical and technical knowledge required for the role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related fields like Economics with Accounting), Additionally, professional accounting qualifications such as the CICPA (Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
- Minimum of 2+ years related work experience preferred.
- Language skills: proficient in Mandarin.
