Geotechnical Expertise Opportunity

As a highly skilled geotechnical professional, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise across various projects and industries.

Our team services projects from residential to infrastructure developments, working collaboratively with clients and government agencies. Due to our exceptional success and continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to our Newcastle office.

In this role, you will provide geotechnical expertise in all project stages, from investigation to detail design and construction supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing field data acquisition, site investigations, testing, and producing calculations, reporting, specifications, and drawings to ensure geotechnical designs provide appropriate solutions.
  • Undertaking geotechnical analysis in areas such as slope stability, pavement designs, foundations, and retaining walls.
  • Providing quality checks and reviewing work to an appropriate technical standard.
  • Planning, programming, and coordinating geotechnical project inputs to deliver agreed outputs on time and to agreed quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with completion of geotechnical electives and/or major as part of your university studies.
  2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in the consulting field and/or recognition as a senior engineer in your current role.
  3. Experience with soil investigation, supervision, and geotechnical design.
  4. Previous experience with engineering software packages such as gINT, GEOSTUDIO, PLAXIS, ROCSCIENCE, CIRCLY, AutoCAD.
