We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Election Planner to join our team on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will provide administrative and project coordination support for legislative reforms on early voting and telephone-assisted voting for the 2026 state and First Nations Voice to Parliament elections.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing project support services, preparing correspondence, reports and briefs, coordinating resources, and maintaining documentation.
  • Supporting research and analysis of information, especially when there are no established processes or documentation.
  • Developing and implementing processes and work instructions for election project planning and administration.
  • Liaising with stakeholders regarding project processes and work instructions.
  • Undertaking projects that contribute to operational delivery of relevant election projects.
  • Supporting senior project staff in delivering project tasks and activities.

This is a temporary role which may be extended up to 12 months. Applicants must not be actively involved in political affairs and will be required to undergo a criminal history check.

Due to the nature of the role, extensive out-of-hours duty may be required during elections, and some interstate and intrastate travel may be necessary.
