About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HD Fitter to join our team at Bis Industries. As an HD Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of underground mobile equipment, including Loaders, Continuous Miners, Shuttle Cars, and Power Generators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintenance of underground heavy vehicles and mobile equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues promptly, with a focus on enhancing documentation and processes.
  • Preventative maintenance and support for a preventative maintenance system, with opportunities to advise on potential improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 3584 standards and overseeing the ExDES Overhaul Process.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with underground mining equipment.
  • Trade qualification - Certificate III in Engineering or Mobile Plant Mechanic.
  • Driver's License, RIIDES Units of Competency (AS/NZS3584.3), and preferable forklift operation and Dogman certificates.
