Senior Cloud Data Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to drive data engineering initiatives in a top-tier organisation. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in end-to-end data mapping, ETL design, and cloud-based pipeline development.
- Design and build scalable AWS Glue (PySpark) pipelines for structured and semi-structured data sources
- Deliver clear and accurate source-to-target mappings and integration specifications across complex datasets
- Ingest and transform data from multiple systems into S3, Elastic, and downstream platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business SMEs, and ETL/BI developers
- Ensure pipelines are production-grade, fault-tolerant, and aligned to data governance and security standards
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Glue (PySpark) and AWS native services (e.g. S3, Lambda, Athena, Step Functions)
- Practical experience integrating with Elastic/Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrieval
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns, CDC, and data modelling
- Solid grasp of source-to-target mapping principles and best practices
- Strong SQL and Python skills
