Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned People Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month parental leave contract.

This role requires collaboration with Principals and senior stakeholders to deliver people strategies aligned with the firm's goals. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide coaching on performance, engagement, and leadership development to support the growth and success of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Principals and senior stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Provide coaching on performance, engagement, and leadership development to support the growth and success of our employees.
  • Lead annual talent, remuneration, and workforce planning processes to ensure we have the right people in the right roles.
  • Drive key firm-wide projects related to learning and development, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
  • Offer practical support on complex employee relations matters to ensure we maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a senior People/HR Business Partner, ideally in law firms.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, awards, and compliance, with practical advisory capabilities.
  • Technical skills in HRIS (similar systems) and data management.
  • HR qualification or relevant industry experience and ability to apply it.
  • Proven ability to build trust with stakeholders and influence outcomes through credibility and relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage senior leaders, teams, and external partners.
