We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Repair Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural repair of aircraft composite and sheetmetal components, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The position involves:

  • Carrying out structural repairs to composite components made from materials such as Fibreglass, Kevlar, and Carbon Fibre.
  • Assembling parts and subassemblies of aircraft structure.
  • Conducting various repairs including sanding, vacuum bagging, and composite layups.
  • Repair of sheetmetal components including manufacture of sheetmetal parts, use of specialized tooling, heat treatment of manufactured parts.
  • Preparing aircraft structural components for painting.
  • Painting of components.
  • Interpretation of drawings, repair orders, and engineering orders.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations.
  • Carry out post-repair functional testing as required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Formal trade qualification as a Structures Technician, preferably Cert 4 Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent.
  • In absence of formal trade qualification, 6+ years' experience as an aircraft structures technician.
