About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cultural Development Worker to join our Arts and Culture team at Central Coast Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering creative arts and cultural development strategies and programs that engage with the Coast's Creative Arts and Cultural Community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver creative arts and cultural development strategies and programs that meet the needs of the community.
  • Work closely with community groups, artists, and stakeholders to develop and implement projects that promote cultural development and community engagement.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community through your work.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the Council to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to cultural development and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in Creative Arts, Cultural Development, or a relevant field, or extensive relevant and contemporary experience combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Sound experience working with people of different cultural backgrounds and age groups, and excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a complex political environment.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $85.8k - $92.2k plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • A permanent full-time role with a 9 day fortnight.
  • Hybrid and flexible working conditions, including 2 days work from home and 3 days on site.
