As a key member of our Major Works Civil team, you will play a critical role in delivering safe and reliable infrastructure and transport for the people of Queensland. Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, you will work on track and civil projects, including culverts replacement, drainage works, bridge access walkways, and bridge girder replacement. You will also maintain strong business relationships across other Engineering disciplines to support construction management, project management, and performing duties related to Track and Civil work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering advice and technical support for railway infrastructure construction projects, including trackwork, earthworks, drainage, steelwork, and concrete work.
  • Assist the Site Management Team in the execution of project works, including the supervision of scheduling of resources, material procurement, contract management, and audits and inspections.
  • Monitor the implementation of project activities in relation to progress against planned works and provide project progress reports to Senior Management.
  • Finalize project activities, including quality and completion sign-offs, closure of project financial systems, project audits, and review and preparation of final project reports to Senior Management.

About the Role:

This is a permanent full-time role based in the Brisbane CBD, with a salary range of $99,900 - $105,690 plus up to 12.75% superannuation. You will also receive competitive penalty rates for overtime, annual leave loading, and long-term career and stability with an industry leader.

About You:

  • You will have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognized by Engineers Australia).
  • You will hold a current Class 'C' Drivers Licence.
  • You will have site-based project engineering experience.
  • You will be highly motivated and have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Railway track construction experience would be desirable.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, standard business hours.
  • Currently 1 day per week WFH.
  • Regular weekend OT will apply, currently at least one weekend per month. At times nights are required, penalty rates apply.
