About the Role

This is a senior technical and engineering position that will provide leadership and expertise to support the operations of Perenti Group, a leading mining services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and engineering solutions, as well as business improvement outcomes, to support the company's global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and engineering expertise to support the development of mine plans and designs.
  • Lead and manage teams of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and implement business improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize business improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operations teams to ensure safe and efficient mine operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve mine safety and reduce environmental impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mining engineering, with a strong background in technical and operational leadership.
  • Proven track record of delivering business improvement outcomes and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical and engineering skills, with expertise in mine design, scheduling, and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deswik software experience and proficiency in mine design and scheduling software.
