As a Graduate Mining Engineer with the Perenti Group, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in underground mining operations. Our Graduate Program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and the soft skills essential for exceptional leaders.

The program includes rotations through each underground role, where you will learn industry-leading, safe practices from some of the most skilled underground miners in the world. You will also gain the experience necessary to sit your First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency.

In addition to underground operations, you will have the opportunity to work in an office-based role, where you will be able to optimise mine processes and hone your project engineering skills.

Upon completion of the program, you will have a diverse range of career paths open to you, including operational management, corporate roles, technical engineering streams, and innovation and technology.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
  • A strong desire to expand practical underground knowledge
  • Previous site experience working underground or open pit
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite
  • Ability to meet all site access requirements, including medical, DAS, NPC, and valid manual driver's licence
  • The right to work permanently in Australia
