Regional Operations Director

The Area Manager plays a pivotal role in leading a team to execute regional strategic and operational plans. This ensures service delivery to brigades and volunteers who protect the local community from bushfire and other emergency incidents.
Mandatory Requirements- The successful candidate must meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic RFSQ Inspector role description.
- Lead the Area team in executing regional plans to ensure service delivery to brigades and volunteers.
- Manage organisational change programs through regular consultation with staff, volunteers, the community, and other stakeholders.
- Undertake the role of Chief Fire Warden for the Area and work closely with the Manager Bushfire Mitigation.
- Work closely with the Regional Duty Manager to maintain operational awareness and oversight for the Area.
- Manage human and physical resources to ensure operational capacity and capability within the Area.
- Support asset management by authorising planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Attend Rural Fire Brigade meetings to provide timely updates and expert advice.
