Full-Time Animal Attendant Job

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on individual to join our team in Sydney's Southern Suburbs as a Full-Time Animal Attendant. This role offers opportunities to develop your skills, learn new aspects of the business, and progress your career within our national network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for boarding and daycare pets – feeding, grooming support, enrichment. They will also conduct health checks and monitor wellbeing, clean and maintain high standards of hygiene across the facility, supervise dogs and manage behaviours to ensure safety and comfort, deliver excellent customer service at drop-off and pick-up, assist on reception – booking management, enquiries, payments, retail sales, and support their team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous paid or voluntary experience in animal care, pet retail, dog daycare, vet clinics, or similar
  • Confident handling pets of all sizes, with a calm and caring approach
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally
  • Basic computing skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Ability to use initiative, seek opportunities to learn, and develop new skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather
  • Able to work at pace while maintaining attention to detail
  • A good communicator and positive person who enjoys teamwork
  • Availability to work peak periods including public holidays, Christmas, Easter and school holiday periods
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
