A key role at the National Gallery of Victoria, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Dining Service Leader to join our team.

Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a Dining Service Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that every visitor enjoys their visit, with outstanding service, quality food, and excellent hospitality.

  • Assist the Retail Manager in day-to-day operations across all outlets
  • Coordinate the front of house team's daily activities within a high-volume setting
  • Lead the team to deliver prompt, friendly, and exceptional service
  • Develop and mentor your team, creating a fun and engaging working environment
  • Optimise team member rosters to increase revenue and productivity
  • Address guest feedback promptly to ensure every visitor has an enjoyable experience
  • Maintain safety standards when performing tasks or using equipment, reporting hazards, near misses, or accidents
Requirements:

We are seeking someone with previous experience in a similar fast-paced environment who can lead a team effectively. You should have good knowledge of Melbourne's food and beverage scene, strong communication skills, and the ability to confidently brief teams. A current RSA certificate is also required.

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership position, identifying opportunities for improvement and training staff
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead team briefing sessions with up to 12 team members
  • Good understanding of the local food and beverage industry, what's new, and what's popular

  • Well-groomed and professional appearance with attention to detail
