Job Opportunity: Senior Environment Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our environmental compliance, community engagement, and rehabilitation initiatives.

This 12-month fixed-term role offers the opportunity to grow, influence positive outcomes, and contribute to a collaborative workplace where your expertise is valued.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental compliance and approvals with care and attention
  • Foster positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders
  • Mentor and support the environment team's growth and development
  • Ensure regulatory reporting and environmental standards are met
  • Guide operations teams on sustainable practices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Management or Science
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role
  • At least 2 years in mining or heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of NSW environmental legislation and regulations
  • Effective project management and stakeholder relationship skills

About This Role:

This role involves working closely with the operations team to ensure that all environmental aspects are considered and implemented. You will be responsible for leading environmental compliance and approvals, fostering positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders, and mentoring and supporting the environment team.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of NSW environmental legislation and regulations, as well as effective project management and stakeholder relationship skills. They will also be able to guide operations teams on sustainable practices and ensure regulatory reporting and environmental standards are met.
