About the Role
We are seeking a Field Utility Reader to join our team in the Ballarat area. As a Field Utility Reader, you will be responsible for walking allocated neighbourhoods and taking and recording utility meter readings. No experience is required, as we will provide all necessary training and PPE.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner
- Uphold the Service Stream safety standards and publicly represent Service Stream and our clients in a professional manner
- Understand and ensure targets are met
- Ability to work independently but also work with other members of the team
- Regularly communicate with office support team
- Upload/download route information to/from hand-held device
What You Need
- Current valid drivers licence
- Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone
- Ready to learn and able to work on your own
- Able to undertake plenty of walking, bending and squatting
- Able to work in most weather conditions
- Able to work Mon-Fri, 20-30 hours per week
- Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to, or more than 45 minutes each way
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail is required
