About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meter Reader to join our team in the Ballarat area. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for walking an allocated neighbourhood and taking and recording utility meter readings. No experience is required, as we will provide all necessary training and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Uphold Service Stream safety standards and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Understand and ensure targets are met
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other team members
  • Regularly communicate with office support team
  • Upload and download route information to/from a hand-held device

What You Need

  • Current valid driver's license
  • Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone
  • Ability to work independently and learn new skills
  • Physical ability to undertake walking, bending, and squatting
  • Ability to work in most weather conditions
  • Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to 45 minutes each way
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail
