Senior Technical LeadAbout the Role:

The Senior Technical Lead is responsible for managing a technical team of Coastal and Maritime engineers and professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in managing a team, and a proven track record of delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead with a focus on a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Align with Program Managers to ensure team focus on work-winning and project delivery.
  • Coordinate team meetings and ensure effective communication and information sharing.
  • Support collaboration across teams and disciplines.
  • Monitor and improve team and individual utilisation and billability.
  • Forecast resource needs and assist with workforce planning and recruitment.
  • Line manage team members, including performance reviews, career development, and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with Capability Managers, Program Managers, and HR to ensure resource alignment.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a technical team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of business operations within a consultancy.
  • Experience in resource planning, forecasting, and improving utilisation.
  • Commitment to professional development and mentoring others.
  • Alignment with company values and strategies.
  • Professional background in Coastal Modelling, Dredging or Maritime Structures Engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in a consulting environment.
