About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Construction Quality Assurance Specialist to join our site-based teams in Western Australia. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities across multiple projects and operates within a dynamic environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will assist and support regional and project management teams to maintain the quality management system certification (ISO 9001), monitor compliance with project-specific requirements, the National Construction Code (NCC) and Building Code of Australia, and implement Multiplex quality management plans, procedures, and related systems.
Main Accountabilities
- Implement the Quality Management Plan and associated processes
- Manage quality documentation, collate records, review, and evaluate contract and subcontractor information
- Conduct Subcontractor quality audits and inspections and participate in and respond to internal/external audits
- Prepare reports and effectively analyse and communicate quality information
- Inspect construction work to verify compliance with drawings and specifications, monitoring and documenting corrective and preventive actions
- Evaluate subcontractor QMPs and supporting documentation (ITPs / ITRs) and compile quality assurance reports and statistics
- Facilitate risk workshops
Requirements
- A recognized qualification in quality assurance management or 3-5 years of proven experience in a quality role within the construction industry or a related field
- Auditor competency and a preferred trade background
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
- A sound knowledge of building methodology, including structure and finishes
- Excellent communication skills with a strong understanding of project documents, plans, and specifications
- Understanding of risk management principles and experience implementing ISO 9001 quality management systems or similar plus auditing experience and process methodology
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and customer service-oriented with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including bonus schemes, annual remuneration reviews, health and wellbeing programs, and professional career development opportunities.
