Job TitleOperational Control Specialist

Role: Facilitate activities within the control room, encompassing SCADA and VIBES operations.

Scope:
  • Control room management
  • Communication between operational and maintenance teams
  • Coordinate activities related to flight and baggage handling system information
Qualifications and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in PC-based control systems
  • A certain degree of technical knowledge is required
  • Ability to read and interpret technical layout drawings of a baggage handling system
  • Reading comprehension in English language
  • Work well under stress
  • Clear and concise communication skills are essential
  • Ability to maintain an overview in hectic environments
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate SCADA and VIBES information and incidents
  • Determine causes of administrative errors and maintain logs of baggage incidents
  • Support mechanical and electrical technicians, product engineers, and manual intervention activities throughout a shift
List of Key Activities:
  • Communicate and manage SCADA information
  • Communicate and manage VIBES information
  • Ensure the restart and operational continuity of the baggage handling system
  • Align airline information with baggage handling system design
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Maintenance Team to address reactive and proactive incidents/maintenance as needed
Work Pattern:
  • Engage daily with mechanical and electrical technicians to work/coordinate efforts addressing issues
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on where and what requires attention on a daily basis
  • Identify problems and propose ideas for improvement. Look beyond the task at hand
  • Self-reliant in performing recurring technical and operational activities as part of the Operational and Maintenance Team
