Clinical Nurse Consultant in Oncology

As a clinical nurse consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients with oncological conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing evidence-based care plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that take into account patients' preferences, values, and goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on managing cancer-related symptoms and side effects.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Postgraduate degree in nursing or a related field (e.g., Master's or Doctoral degree).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a clinical leadership role.
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
