
Expert Heavy Vehicle Compliance Specialist

Our company seeks an experienced professional to fill the role of Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Manager. This position plays a critical part in ensuring our business operates within regulatory compliance. The Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing systems related to heavy vehicle accreditations, facilitating internal and external audits according to established standards. Key responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise on accreditation elements, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and developing reports and dashboards that offer meaningful insights.
">Responsibilities:">- Develop, maintain, and continually improve reporting tools to support self-service, incident management improvements, statistics, and development of agile and meaningful BI reports.
- Maintain and manage heavy vehicle accreditations (NHVAS and WAHVA), including facilitation of relevant regulator audit programs.
- Maintain systems, processes, and assurance that support adherence to heavy vehicle accreditation requirements, specifically fatigue, mass, dimension, and loading, fitness for work, and maintenance.
- Manage relationships with other businesses associated with heavy vehicle accreditation.
- Manage accreditation relationships with road authorities in jurisdictions where we operate.
- Provide direct guidance or information to internal stakeholders operating under NHVAS and WAHVA.
- Participate in the development and delivery of an accreditation awareness education package for internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a heavy vehicle capacity, preferably in a regulatory or operational environment. Relevant skills include excellent analytical, project, change management, and organizational abilities in a high-risk operational setting. The candidate must be able to work independently to prioritize components of a project or program, demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy, identify key issues, and implement short-, medium-, and long-term improvement strategies.
