Mechanical Fitter and Instrumentation Technician Job

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter and Instrumentation Technician to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in our workshop.

As a Mechanical Fitter and Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and instrumentation systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Instrumentation and relevant experience in control valves and regulators. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair valves and other mechanical equipment in the workshop and on site
  • Repair and calibrate instrumentation systems as required
  • Diagnose faults in mechanical equipment and take corrective action
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets our high standards
  • Collaborate with our team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Assist customers with pre-commissioning activities
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Instrumentation
  • Relevant experience in control valves and regulators
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to undertake site work and travel for work when required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Instrumentation
  • Restricted or Unrestricted Electrical Licence
