Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and specifying instruments, valves, control systems, and fire detection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify measurement instruments for pressure, flow, level, and temperature, including datasheets and loop diagrams.
  • Specify and design on/off and control valves, including valve sizing and actuator selection.
  • Select control system hardware, design system architecture, and develop functional specifications.
  • Design fire and gas detection systems and contribute to risk assessments.
  • Perform hazardous area classification and relevant calculations.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered status or significant progress towards it.
  • Strong technical expertise in instrument and control engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for detailed design tasks.
  • Solid knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements relevant to instrument and control engineering.
