About the Opportunity

A dynamic and experienced Program Manager is sought to lead multiple delivery teams within the minor capital delivery team for our Melbourne Water contract. As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining the project management framework, ensuring compliance by Project Managers, and overseeing the quality control throughout project lifecycles. Your key responsibilities will include managing financial targets, maintaining close liaison with colleagues and client counterparts, and ensuring that projects meet budgets, timings, and specification expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor project delivery to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
Oversee project programs and pipelines, generating status reports for leadership.
Ensure projects meet quality, budget, and client policy requirements, conducting regular audits.
Coach and develop project managers and teams, fostering a positive team culture.
Ensure compliance with OHS regulations, safety policies, and guidelines.
Conduct site audits and inspections to identify improvement areas.
Coach employees on HSEQ concepts and promote a Zero Harm culture.
Develop procurement plans to reduce risk and increase efficiency.

About You

You will be a seasoned Program Manager with extensive experience managing multiple, concurrent minor capital projects with a strong knowledge of water treatment/wastewater networks and asset, or experience in a similar industry. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

Bachelor of Engineering (mechanical, electrical or civil)
Extensive proficiency utilizing Project Management Systems and complex delivery models
Proficient in financial management, including a solid grasp of procurement and finance principles
Experienced in developing and implementing process to enhance organizational efficiency
Proven track record in implementing and monitoring Health and Safety guidelines, ensuring continuous adherence to regulatory requirements
Highly developed communication and robust stakeholder engagement ability
Proactive approach to relationship management and business development
