Job Overview:

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia is seeking a proactive and organised individual to manage day-to-day shift operations, dispatch crews, and ensure crew welfare and fatigue management.

This role is key to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient transport services across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain effective operational communications with internal teams and external stakeholders

Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and clinical protocols

Provide accurate administrative support including data entry, invoicing, and reporting

Collaborate with rostering and leadership teams to optimise staffing and scheduling

Requirements:
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with professional interaction across teams and stakeholders
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in documentation, data entry, and correspondence
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and open to learning new systems and tools
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of NEPT operations and regulations, medical terminology knowledge desirable
  • Team Coordination: Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to meet operational goals
  • Aeromedical Experience: Prior experience in aeromedical or flight operations desirable
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • Roster Flexibility: Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

Applicants must be able to perform all Air and Road NEPT shifts at the Essendon Hangar, occasional travel to other locations may be required. A minimum of two Aeromedical shifts at Essendon Hangar every 28 days are also necessary.
