Job Overview

The Platform Engineer is responsible for driving secure innovation at scale, influencing architecture decisions, and championing a security-first mindset across teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain CI pipelines, security controls, monitoring solutions, and supporting software deployments.
  • Ensure all software products are secure, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage expertise in virtual environments, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and security automation.
  • Mentor teams of engineers to ensure the adoption of DevSecOps best practices and principles.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, security specialists, and operational teams to embed security best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes), artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog Artifactory), and container security best practices.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and security principles.
  • Familiarity with software development security tooling (e.g., SonarQube, Grype, JFrog Xray).
  • Understanding of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic stack.
  • Knowledge of ASD Essential 8 and ISM and how to apply relevant controls.
  • Experience with database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Strategic mindset for identifying and managing security risks across the SDLC, with ability to develop risk mitigation strategies that align with enterprise objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
