Deliver Coding Fun to Kids

We are seeking energetic and tech-savvy individuals to join our team of casual staff at after-school classes. As a key member of our team, you will inspire kids to develop their coding skills and create their own video games.

About the Role:

As a casual staff member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and facilitating our lesson plans to a class solo or in a team each week.
  • Setting up and packing away equipment provided by us.
  • Engaging with students in a fun and safe way inside and outside the classroom.
  • Maintaining communication with our Head Office through Slack if you have any questions or concerns.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience or enjoy working with primary-aged kids.
  • Tech savvy skills, ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Beginner coding knowledge (preferred) - drag and drop/block coding.
  • Confidence in speaking in front of a small group of children and delivering provided lesson plans in a fun and engaging way.
  • Mature outlook, common sense and ability to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside the classroom.
  • Fluent conversational English.
  • A Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain it immediately.
  • A laptop with the ability to connect to a HDMI port.
