The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Identity and Biometrics Program Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Identity and Biometrics Engagement and Delivery Section, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of identity and biometrics programs across the Home Affairs Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate section deliverables and engagement pieces across the portfolio in relation to identity and biometric bodies of work.
- Support undertakings related to program and project delivery management, engaging with service delivery areas across the portfolio to provide advice and act as a conduit between identity and biometric delivery functions and service delivery areas.
- Provide support across identity and biometrics projects, maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and project expenditure, and preparing documentation including project plans, reports, briefing papers.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Document writing skills.
- Sound understanding of business processes and system capabilities relating to Identity and Biometrics, or ability to acquire this knowledge.
- Uses initiative to identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
The Department of Home Affairs offers an attractive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation benefits, and flexible working conditions appropriate to the level of the position.
The Department may provide relocation assistance to eligible APS employees required to relocate. The level of assistance will vary depending on the reason for relocating and your personal circumstances.
EligibilityTo be eligible for the position, you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
