Job Description

As a key member of our facilities team, the Bus Driver and Maintenance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your driving skills with maintenance duties, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality services.

  • Driving Responsibilities: Safely transport participants and support workers to and from residential houses in the Darwin area.
  • Maintenance Duties: Maintain the aesthetic environment of SIL houses, including gardening and upkeep tasks according to the scheduled routine.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and repairs on SIL houses, ensuring they remain safe and secure for participants and employees.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Current NT Driver's Licence (C Class + Manual required)
  • NDIS Clearance Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)
  • National Police Check with current 5-year driving history record (no more than 3 months old)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Professional and well-presented
  • Positive and friendly personality
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission buses
  • Relevant experience working in grounds, garden, and handyman roles
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices
