Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Classroom Teacher to join our team at Wodonga Middle Years College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths and Science to students in Years 7 to 9.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for Maths and Science
- Assess and report on student progress and achievement
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and programs
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Perform other duties as required by the School Principal
The successful candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and the ability to teach Maths and Science
- Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies
- Ability to assess and report on student progress and achievement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the Department's values and the school's vision and mission
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Hold a valid Victorian Teaching Certificate
- Have demonstrated experience in teaching Maths and Science
- Meet the Department's requirements for the Classroom Teacher classification
