Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team based in Perth.

The successful candidate will provide project management, due diligence, environmental impact assessment and approvals under various Acts. They will work closely with other specialist teams to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.

As a key member of the Perth EAM&C Team, you will support the Team Lead to drive the business in Western Australia and collaborate with the Darwin-based team. You will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in consulting, government or industry and enjoy undertaking project work, mentoring team members and developing client relationships throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on environmental and management principles to clients and internal team members
  • Assist in the development and implementation of team business plans and strategies
  • Develop, facilitate and enhance effective relationships with clients and internal team members
  • Lead the development of environmental impact assessments, management plans and support clients through their compliance and closure journey
  • Work within and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors
  • Deliver clear and precise, high-quality reports
  • Occasional travel to site may be required
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in the mining, infrastructure and renewables sectors
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to win work through business development and demonstrated client management expertise
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects
  • Demonstrated experience delivering WA and Commonwealth approvals, including excellent knowledge of environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • A valid WA Driver's Licence
  • The following would be highly valued: experience working under Northern Territory legislation, experience in the land development and/or agribusiness sectors
