Job Title: Tyre Installer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced tyre installer to join our team. As a tyre installer, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tyres on vehicles in our tyre shop.

  • You will locate member cars in the tyre shop area of the carpark, list any body damage on the service order, and drive the member vehicle into the install bay.
  • You will remove wheels using an impact gun, follow safety and security procedures, and roll wheels to the mounting machine.
  • You will attach new valve stems, mount new tyres on wheels, and fill tyres to the appropriate air pressure.
  • You will operate automatic balance machines to get readings of proper weight and placement to balance wheels.
  • You will reattach wheels to autos using impact guns and hand torque wrenches according to tyre shop procedures.
  • You will alert supervisors or managers to complete 9-point checks and authorise vehicle releases.
  • You will perform second torque checks after managers or supervisors on tyres installed by others.
  • You will repair flat tyres for members, clean the install area, and assist with sales and stocking tyres in sales areas.
  • You will follow company policies and procedures, assist with monthly stocktakes, and possess a Cert II in Tyre Fitting (preferred).
Requirements:
  • You must hold a manual open driver's licence.
  • You must pass a manual handling assessment and be able to lift more than 25kg.
