Job Title: Maintenance Support Officer

Are you a reliable and hard-working individual with practical skills in grounds, gardening, and maintenance?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Support Officer.

As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing school grounds, gardens, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain school grounds, gardens, and sporting areas by mowing, watering, pruning, weeding, and planting.
  • Ensure site security by locking/unlocking gates, buildings, and monitoring facilities.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, whipper snippers, and small machinery safely.
  • Monitor and report any hazards or maintenance issues to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Set up events, move furniture, and communicate effectively with staff and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal and external personnel regarding facility maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • A proactive and dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Practical skills in grounds, gardening, and/or basic maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Good communication and organisational skills to work effectively with staff and students.
  • A commitment to creating a safe and welcoming school environment.
