People Business Partner

The People Business Partner plays a pivotal role in delivering high-impact, high-value people solutions that drive business success.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a strategic advisor and partner to leaders across the business. As a People Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of effective people strategies and initiatives that enable business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders to develop and implement effective people plans that align with business priorities.
  • Provide expert advice on workforce planning, organizational design, capability development, and talent pipelines to ensure the business has the right skills and talent to succeed.
  • Act as a conduit between the business and HR to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and deliver value.
Talent & Capability
  • Support leaders in identifying, developing, and retaining key and critical talent to drive business success.
  • Partner with leaders to develop succession plans, leadership capability, and development programs to ensure the business has a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Champion upskilling, reskilling, and future-fit capabilities to ensure the business remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
Culture and Engagement
  • Guide and coach leaders to build inclusive and high-performing teams that drive business success.
  • Support leaders to create a psychologically safe environment where issues can be safely raised, heard, and managed effectively.
Change and Transformation
  • Partner with leaders to deliver enterprise-wide change programs that ensure people impacts are well managed.
  • Support continuous improvement and adoption of new ways of working that align with future workforce needs.
Governance & Risk
  • Educate and support leaders in key people practices including performance management, employee relations, talent, and succession.
  • Ensure people practices comply with policies, legislation, and conduct and risk frameworks.
  • Support and advise leaders on complex employee matters to mitigate risk.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar P&C generalist partnering or advisory role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interpretation, and application of P&C policies, procedures, legislation, and industrial instruments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, coach, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to solution-enable through strong consulting, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • Experience with driving continuous improvement.
  • Change management experience and skills to effectively support delivery of divisional and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Previous employee relations and organizational development experience is desirable.
