Workplace Injury Manager

About the Role
- Manage work-related illness or injury cases with a strong focus on early intervention, supporting employee relations and promoting workplace safety.
- Oversee workers compensation claims and non-work related illnesses to ensure successful return and/or recovery at work.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and people leaders to provide proactive coaching and advice, driving return to work outcomes and enhancing employee safety and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace injuries and illnesses in accordance with legislative requirements and provide relevant reports.
- Support the monitoring and review of the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyse trends in incident data to identify and address potential WHS risks, implementing targeted strategies for improvement.
- Work closely with the People Experience team to develop and implement emergency management procedures, consistently applying relevant legislation and policy.
- Engage with employees on matters affecting health and safety, focusing on injury prevention and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor and review WHS incidents, identifying areas for improvement and developing effective mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support and advice on employee relations matters, guiding people leaders and team members through complex issues.
- Analyse and provide written and verbal advice on employee relations matters, collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Research and analyse complex employee relations cases, recommending solutions that align with relevant legislative frameworks and best practices.
- Interpret and apply employment law and WHS regulations, providing expert guidance to support operational excellence.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of employee relations initiatives, including case management tools and training programs.
