We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Financial Markets Dealers Assistant – Mandarin Speaking to join our client’s team in Melbourne or Sydney on an initial 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deal confidently with Financial Advisors (FAs) and their clients in a high-volume, time-critical environment. A fundamental knowledge of the financial advice process, financial markets, and product trends is essential for this role.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate high attention to detail, strong literacy and numeracy skills, and excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is also a requirement.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Facilitating all administrative client queries
  • Client on-boarding, including preparation of account documentation and creation of client records
  • Maintenance of client accounts and records, in line with current AML/CTF, KYC regulations
  • IPO and corporate action allocation management
  • Preparation of client valuations, asset allocations, and reporting as required
  • Assisting with client asset transfers, including cash, domestically and internationally
  • Processing and monitoring stock settlements, including follow-up with clients regarding outstanding funds
  • Prioritizing competing adviser requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Assisting with logistics and planning for client events
  • Providing ad-hoc translation for marketing purposes
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and departments
