Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Financial Markets Dealers Assistant in Sydney or Melbourne to join our client, a leading global wealth management firm.

About the Role:

This 12-month contract position requires an individual with strong knowledge of financial markets and product trends. The successful candidate will be able to deal confidently with Financial Advisors (FAs) and their clients in a high-volume environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating administrative client queries
  • Client on-boarding, including preparation of account documentation and creation of client records
  • Aarranging and assisting with maintenance of client accounts and records, in line with current AML/CTF, KYC Regulations
  • IPO and corporate action allocation management
  • Preparing client valuations, asset allocations, and reporting as required
  • Assisting with client asset transfers, including cash, both domestically and internationally
  • Processing and monitoring stock settlements, including follow-up with clients regarding outstanding funds
  • Prioritizing competing adviser requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Providing ad-hoc translation for marketing purposes
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and departments
  • Participating in department cross-training as required
  • Participating in process development initiatives to increase efficiencies
  • Proactively notifying clients and FAs of any issues and recommending solutions and timeframes

Key Skills/Knowledge:

  • High attention to detail
  • Strong literacy and numeracy ability
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Management experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of financial advice process, markets, and industry
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin
  • Displaying a high level of resilience and strong ability to prioritize tasks
  • Goal-oriented with demonstrated drive and initiative

Requirements:

  • Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or Economics
  • RG146 qualification – if not held already, a requirement to study towards
  • Experience within wealth management, stockbroking, or financial planning
  • Understanding of Broking Platforms (Domestic and International)
  • Understanding of Portfolio management platforms (e.g., Praemium) will be an added advantage

Salary: $370-$400 per day + super depending on experience.
