Key Role: Mechanical Coordinator

This critical position in underground coal operations demands extensive experience and expertise in cut and fill mining and/or gateroad development.

The successful candidate will provide direction, support, and leadership to deliver work safety, planning, communication, and project delivery are key to this role.

About the Position

The Mechanical Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic direction to employees and subcontractors
  • Liaising with external representatives to achieve safety and production targets
  • Planning, managing, and delivering projects on schedule and budget
  • Effective communication of planned work to crew members
  • Visible safety interactions and leadership, particularly underground

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of S123/G2 Supervisory Certificates mandatory
  • Certificate IV Underground Coal Mining desirable or a willingness to commit to this study
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on Development works and/or UG Coal Cut & Fill
  • Strong computer skills
  • Leadership skills, including feedback and coaching of team members
