Job Title: Portfolio Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Chief Underwriting Office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for setting risk appetite and underwriting environment for the delivery of product profitability with growth across all markets within Australia.

The successful candidate will have extensive insurance experience, ideally in an Underwriting/Portfolio Management role, with a track record in Commercial Motor including strong Fleet Motor experience. Advanced knowledge of risk management, portfolio management, and underwriting is essential, along with proven relationship building, communication, negotiating, and influencing skills at a senior level within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and drive an effective and profitable portfolio strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership to the Product Committee.
  • Work with actuaries to plan, monitor, and understand performance.
  • Represent the product in developing the annual business plan.
  • Manage internal stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Be the ultimate referral point for complex underwriting activities.
